Public Cancer Fourm in Partnership with Central Baptist Hospital
The Lexington Cancer Foundation has partnered with Central Baptist Hospital to present a series of public cancer forums.  The events will be held at the Central Baptist Education Center (1740 Nicholasville Road, Building E, Lower Level) and are free to the public.  The series will begin with fourty five minutes of shopping with onsite vendors, such as LV Harkness &co., Cathy Rogers Stationery, Two Chicks & Co. and many more with light refreshments.  The discussion sessions will begin at 6:50 pm.  Please register by calling 859-260-4419.  Sponsors of these series include, Hautemommastuff, WKYT- TV, Cumulus Lexington, and Skirt Magazine.

Hats and Handbags for Life
Join the Lexington Cancer Foundation for Hats and Handbags for Life.  This silent auction of new and gently used hats and handbags will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 5 pm at the Hilary J. Boone Center at The University of Kentucky (510 Rose Street).  Guests will enjoy a glass of wine while bidding on hats from designers such as Christine Moore, Polly Singer, Frank Olive, and purses from Gucci, Prada, Ferragamo, Coach and more!  The Foundation is thrilled to have New York Millliner Christine Moore onsite at the event. An informal fashion show will be going on throughout the evening with hats by Christine Moore and fashions by the Keeneland Shop and J.Studio's Janakos Collecton.  We are also excited to have Milliner Polly Singer particiating in the event this year as well.  Guests will have an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to win a jewelry item from Tiffany & Co. valued over $2000.  You can purchase tickets in advance online using PayPal or by calling 888-388-2620.  Sponsors of this year's event include, The Lexington Clinic, LM Communications, and WKYT-TV.

Kentucky Bluegrass Wine Auction
Join the Lexington Cancer Foundation for the Kentucky Bluegrass Wine Auction.  The event will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 6:30 pm at the Keeneland Clubhouse.  Participants will enjoy a wine tasting and silent auction from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. California vintners will be onsite pouring their own varietals.  Vintners include, Oakville Ranch Vineyards, Revana Vineyards, Barbour Vineyards, Blackbird Vineyards, Spottswoode Vineyards, Alexander Valley Vineyards, and Palmaz Vineyards, to name a few.  Silent auction items include exclusive wine lots, landscaping packages, oil paintings, interior design, furniture, and more.  Dinner will begin at 8:00 pm with a wonderful menu of Kentucky cuisine.  Live Auction items include a 2009 Lexus 570, a Park City Winter Sport Getaway, Cabo San Lucas, a Newmarket, England Thoroughbred Experience, Breeders Cup 2009 Weekend, and many more.   Tickets can be pruchased by calling 888-388-2620.
