The Lexington Foundation, Inc. Announces Fourth Annual Lexington Derby Ball
LEXINGTON, KY, November, 2007 - The Lexington Derby Ball will be held on Friday, May 2, 2008 at Donamire Farm in Lexington, Kentucky. This years event will be an Egyptian Theme The Golden Age of the Pharaohs. The dcor will feature orchids, vines, palms, pyramids, lots of gold and much more. The event is black tie and will be held from 8 pm to 1 am. A live orchestra will entertain guests during the seated dinner, which will be served promptly at 9 pm. After dinner the #1 Show Band in the United States, Right On will entertain guests until 1 am. Right On has an authentic ten-piece show band with a full horn section. They played for First Lady Hillary Clinton and President Bill Clinton in 1998 and in 2005 Right On performed for the Inauguration of President George W. Bush. Tickets are $1000 per couple, 35 years and older and $500 per couple, 34 years and younger. Sponsorship opportunities are available on the Foundations website. WKYT-TV is the official media sponsor of the event. Proceeds from the event will benefit The Lexington Foundation and its mission to raise funds and awareness in the fight against cancer.
